The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 1-5. Independence lost 34-2 in their recent league battle against St. Helena College and Career Academy (Greensburg, LA)

The Bobcats now have a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Eleanor McMain for a 4A District 10 battle on Thursday, October 17. Frederick A. Douglass will play a Mustangs team coming off a 54-20 league loss to Carver Collegiate Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-6.
