The North Mesquite Stallions (Mesquite, TX) football trounced the visiting Sunset Bison (Dallas, TX), 49-6 in Thursday's league outing.

The Stallions now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Molina for a 5A-1 Region II District 6 outing on Thursday, October 17. North Mesquite will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 44-8 league win over Sunset (Dallas, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-5.

With the defeat, Sunset drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Bison host White (Dallas, TX) to clash with the Longhorns in a 5A-1 Region II District 6 outing on Friday, October 18. The Longhorns come into the outing with a record of 4-3. White lost 35-28 in their recent league outing against Newman Smith (Carrollton, TX)
