The Cavaliers now sport a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Floyd County for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 17. Carroll County will clash with a Buffaloes squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to James River (Buchanan, VA). The Buffaloes record now stands at 1-3.

With the defeat, Alleghany drops to 4-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Glenvar (Salem, VA) to clash with the Highlanders in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 17. The Highlanders come into the outing with a record of 3-2. Glenvar won 21-13 in their recent non-league outing against Patrick County (Stuart, VA)
