In Thursday's league outing, the host Thomas Stone Cougars soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Lackey Chargers.

The Cougars (5-4) will now prepare for their outing against Patuxent (Lusby, MD). The Panthers go into the Southern Maryland outing with a 3-8 record. In their last outing, Patuxent was edged by Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD), 5-4, in a league outing.

Next up, the Chargers play the La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD) in a Southern Maryland outing, on Tuesday, October 15. Lackey will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Warriors go into the outing with a 8-2 record after their 2-0 league win over McDonough (Pomfret, MD).
