The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Joplin Eagles (Joplin, MO) and the visiting Parkview Vikings (Springfield, MO), observed Joplin's softball team prevail over Parkview by a tally of 18-2.

The Eagles (15-13) will now prepare for their bout against Webb City (Webb City, MO). The Cardinals go into the Class 4 District 12 bout with a 22-11 record. In their last bout, Webb City was routed by Neosho (Neosho, MO), 4-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Republic Tigers (Republic, MO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, October 14. Parkview will attempt to advance on its 1-14 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 20-10 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Willard (Willard, MO).
