The Smoky Valley Vikings (Lindsborg, KS) volleyball knocked off the visiting Central Plains Oilers (Claflin, KS), 2-0 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 17-16 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast of Saline for a non-league bout on Monday, October 14. Smoky Valley will clash with a Trojans team coming off a 0-0 non-league Hesston (Hesston, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 13-15.

With the loss, Central Plains drops to 9-18 on the campaign. The Oilers travel to St. John (St. John, KS) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 12.
