Wisconsin High School Volleyball - D.C. Everest can't get by Newman

Newman Fighting Cardinals (Wausau, WI) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host D.C. Everest Evergreens (Schofield, WI), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Newman advances its record to 20-13 on the season. The Fighting Cardinals travel to Berlin (Berlin, WI) to face the Indians in a non-league test on Saturday, October 12. The Indians go into the test with a record of 4-21. Berlin lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Kewaskum (Kewaskum, WI)

The Evergreens now sport a 19-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln for a Wisconsin Valley test on Saturday, October 12. D.C. Everest will face a Red Raiders squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Wausau West (Wausau, WI). The Red Raiders record now stands at 11-16.
