In Friday's non-league match, the host St. Mary Cardinals football squad scored a good 34-20 victory over the Alcester-Hudson Cubs.
The Cardinals (7-0) will now prepare for their match against Sioux Falls Lutheran (Sioux Falls, SD). The go into the Dakota Valley (9 Man) battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Sioux Falls Lutheran overcame Gayville-Volin (Gayville, SD), 36-14, in a non-league battle.
The Cubs now own a 5-2 record.
