Louisiana High School Football - Alexandria can't hold off West Monroe

West Monroe Rebels (West Monroe, LA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Alexandria Trojans (Alexandria, LA), 34-31 in a league battle.

With the win, West Monroe advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Rebels host Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA) to play the Lions in a 5A District 2 match on Friday, October 17. The Lions come into the match with a record of 5-1. Ouachita Parish lost 21-14 in their recent league match against Ruston (Ruston, LA)

Coming up next, the Trojans confront the Pineville Rebels (Pineville, LA) in a 5A District 2 match, on Friday, October 17. Alexandria will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Rebels come into the match with a 4-2 record after their 56-6 league loss to Neville (Monroe, LA).
