The Stroud Tigers football squad scored 39 points and limited the host Alva Goldbugs to 14 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Newkirk for a 2A-II District 1 challenge on Thursday, October 16. Stroud will face a Tigers team coming off a 22-16 league win over Luther (Luther, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 2-4.

The Goldbugs (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Luther (Luther, OK). The Lions enter the 2A-II District 1 challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last outing, Luther was knocked off by Newkirk (Newkirk, OK), 22-16, in a league outing.
