In Friday's league challenge, the host Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets football team scored a big 40-0 win over the Apache Junction Prospectors.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets play the Show Low Cougars (Show Low, AZ) in a 3A Mountain challenge, on Friday, October 17. Blue Ridge will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Cougars go into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 28-21 league loss to Round Valley (Eagar, AZ).

The Prospectors (0-7) will now prepare for their challenge against ALA - Mesa North (Mesa, AZ). The Mavericks go into the 3A Mountain challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, ALA - Mesa North was ripped by Coolidge (Coolidge, AZ), 41-40, in a non-league challenge.
