Austin Prep Cougars (Reading, MA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Groton School (Groton, MA), 35-7 in a non-league battle.

The Cougars (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Pingree (South Hamilton, MA). The Highlanders come into the Evergreen match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Pingree defeated Portsmouth Abbey (Portsmouth, RI), 19-14, in a league match.

Coming up next, the meet the Rivers Red Wings (Weston, MA) in a Independent School ISL-9 challenge, on Saturday, October 18. Groton School will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Red Wings go into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 46-22 non-league win over Hamden Hall Country Day (Hamden, CT).
