Nebraska High School Football - Axtell overwhelmed by Elm Creek

October 10, 2025: Axtell, NE 68924

In Friday's league game, the Elm Creek Buffaloes (Elm Creek, NE) football team triumphed over the host Axtell Wildcats (Axtell, NE), by a tally of 57-0.

In their next game, the Buffaloes battle the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons (Wilcox, NE) in a D2 District 5 (8 Man) game, on Friday, October 17. Elm Creek will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Falcons come into the outing with a 4-3 record after their 36-18 league win over Kenesaw (Kenesaw, NE).

With the defeat, Axtell drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Franklin (Franklin, NE) to clash with the Flyers in a D2 District 5 (8 Man) outing on Thursday, October 16. The Flyers come into the outing with a record of 3-4. Franklin won 34-12 in their recent league outing against Blue Hill (Blue Hill, NE)
