In Friday's league match, the visiting Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers football squad scored a good 41-12 triumph over the Homer Pelicans.

The Cavaliers (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Union Parish (Farmerville, LA). The Farmers go into the 2A District 1 challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Union Parish toppled North Caddo (Vivian, LA), 46-16, in a league challenge.

The Pelicans (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Green Oaks (Shreveport, LA). The Giants come into the 2A District 1 test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Green Oaks topped Bastrop (Bastrop, LA), 34-6, in a non-league test.
