The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Overton Eagles (Overton, NE) and the host Cambridge Trojans (Cambridge, NE), witnessed Overton's football squad topple Cambridge by a count of 33-24.

The Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Loomis (Loomis, NE). The Wolves enter the D2 District 8 (8 Man) contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Loomis thwarted Bertrand (Bertrand, NE), 60-28, in a league contest.

Next up, the Trojans play the Hitchcock County Falcons (Trenton, NE) in a D2 District 8 (8 Man) battle, on Thursday, October 16. Cambridge will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Falcons go into the battle with a 7-0 record after their 54-6 league win over Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE).
