In Friday's non-league outing, the Walkersville Lions (Walkersville, MD) football squad trounced the host Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD), by a margin of 59-6.
The Lions now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Oakdale for a non-league outing on Friday, October 17. Walkersville will battle a team coming off a 45-14 league loss to Linganore (Frederick, MD). The record now stands at 4-2.
The Cougars (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD). The Leopards enter the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Smithsburg was crushed by Clear Spring (Clear Spring, MD), 14-7, in a league bout.
