    The Chase Trojans football team (Forest City, NC), was crushed 63-0 in Friday's league bout with the host East Rutherford Cavaliers (Bostic, NC)

    With the win, East Rutherford advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Patton (Morganton, NC) to encounter the Panthers in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A bout on Friday, October 17. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Patton lost 45-20 in their recent league bout against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC)

    The Trojans now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host East Burke for a Western Piedmont 3A/4A contest on Friday, October 17. Chase will battle a Cavaliers squad coming off a 27-14 league loss to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-5.
