Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes (Woodstock, IL) boosters were happy Friday as they witnessed their football squad topple the host Christ the King Gladiators (Chicago, IL), 27-0 in a league match.

The Hurricanes (3-4) will now prepare for their match against St. Edward (Elgin, IL). The Green Wave enter the Chicagoland Christian match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, St. Edward was dropped by Chicago Hope Academy (Chicago, IL), 64-0, in a league battle.

The Gladiators now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Chicago Christian for a Chicagoland Christian battle on Friday, October 17. Christ the King will play a Knights team coming off a 49-7 league loss to Aurora Christian (Aurora, IL). The Knights record now stands at 2-5.
