Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Sunbright Tigers (Sunbright, TN), 56-8 in a league test.

The Highlanders now hold a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Greene for a 1A Region 1 test on Friday, October 17. Cloudland will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 19-14 league win over Jellico (Jellico, TN). The Huskies record now stands at 4-3.

With the defeat, Sunbright drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Cosby (Cosby, TN) to meet the Eagles in a 1A Region 1 challenge on Friday, October 17. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Cosby won 38-22 in their recent league challenge against Cloudland (Roan Mountain, TN)
