In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Westminster Owls football squad scored a good 35-7 victory over the Damascus Hornets.
The Owls (5-1) will now prepare for their match against Manchester Valley (Manchester, MD). The Mavericks enter the Class 2A North match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Manchester Valley was outscored by South Carroll (Sykesville, MD), 21-14, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Hornets confront the Einstein Titans (Kensington, MD) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 17. Damascus will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Titans come into the match with a 2-4 record after their 56-8 league loss to Kennedy (Silver Spring, MD).
