The Edna Cowboys football squad scored 67 points and limited the host Mathis Pirates to 0 in the Cowboys league triumph on Friday.
In their next game, the Cowboys play the London Pirates (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 3A-1 Region IV District 15 challenge, on Friday, October 17. Edna will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Pirates go into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 61-7 league loss to Goliad (Goliad, TX).
The Pirates (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX). The Bears come into the 3A-1 Region IV District 15 test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, West Oso triumphed over Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX), 34-24, in a league test.
