In Friday's league test, the host Helix Highlanders football squad scored a good 41-21 triumph over the El Capitan Vaqueros.

The Highlanders now hold a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Granite Hills for a Grossmont - Hills test on Friday, October 17. Helix will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 29-16 league win over Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-3.

The Vaqueros (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA). The Eagles go into the Grossmont - Hills challenge with a 4-3 record.
