In Friday's league match, the host Imbler Panthers football squad scored a close 38-36 triumph over the Elgin Huskies.
The Panthers (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Cove (Cove, OR). The Leopards go into the 1A Special District 3 (8 Man) battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Cove nipped Pilot Rock (Pilot Rock, OR), 44-0, in a league battle.
The Huskies now have a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Pilot Rock for a 1A Special District 3 (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 24.
