The Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA) football knocked off the host Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA), 35-20 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marion for a Southwest outing on Thursday, October 16. Tazewell will clash with a Scarlet Hurricanes squad coming off a 28-7 non-league loss to Lee (Jonesville, VA). The Scarlet Hurricanes record now stands at 0-6.

With the defeat, Grundy falls to 1-6 on the year. The Golden wave host Hurley (Hurley, VA) to battle the Rebels in a Black Diamond game on Friday, October 17. The Rebels enter the game with a record of 3-3. Hurley won 14-8 in their recent non-league game against J.I. Burton (Norton, VA)
