The Harper Longhorns football squad scored 27 points and limited the visiting Holland Hornets to 12 in the Longhorns league victory on Friday.

In their next game, the Longhorns face the Mason Punchers (Mason, TX) in a 2A-1 Region IV District 14 challenge, on Friday, October 17. Harper will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Punchers enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 18-0 league win over Thorndale (Thorndale, TX).

The Hornets (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Johnson City (Johnson City, TX). The Eagles enter the 2A-1 Region IV District 14 challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Johnson City lost by San Saba (San Saba, TX), 47-21, in a league challenge.
