North Carolina High School Football - Hickory Grove Christian prevails Mount Zion Christian Academy

October 10, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28215

In Friday's non-league match, the host Hickory Grove Christian Lions football squad scored a good 37-28 triumph over the Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors.

The Lions (5-1) will now prepare for their match against SouthLake Christian Academy (Huntersville, NC). The Eagles come into the NCISAA Big 6 match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, SouthLake Christian Academy was beaten by Covenant Day (Matthews, NC), 44-29, in a league match.

Next up, the Mighty Warriors play the North Wake Saints Saints (Wake Forest, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 16. Mount Zion Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Saints go into the battle with a 1-6 record after their 22-20 non-league win over Triangle Math & Science (Apex, NC).
