The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Indian Springs Thunderbirds (Indian Springs, NV) and the visiting Laughlin Cougars (Laughlin, NV), witnessed Indian Springs's football squad edge Laughlin by a tally of 18-14.

The Thunderbirds (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Beaver Dam (Littlefield, AZ). The Diamondback come into the 1A Southern (8 Man) match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Beaver Dam was nudged by Spring Mountain (Las Vegas, NV), 56-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Cougars confront the Round Mountain Knights (Round Mountain, NV) in a 1A Southern (8 Man) battle, on Thursday, October 16. Laughlin will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 2-3 record after their 24-20 league loss to Beatty (Beatty, NV).
