In Friday's league game, the Oakwood Comets (Fithian, IL) football squad trounced the visiting Iroquois West Raiders (Gilman, IL), by a margin of 48-0.

The Comets now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Salt Fork for a Vermilion Valley outing on Friday, October 17. Oakwood will clash with a Storm squad coming off a 48-20 league win over Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman (Georgetown, IL). The Storm record now stands at 5-2.
