Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL), 52-7 in a league battle.
With the win, Sherrard improves its record to 1-6 on the season. The Tigers travel to Orion (Orion, IL) to play the Chargers in a non-league battle on Friday, October 17. The Chargers go into the battle with a record of 2-5. Orion lost 40-14 in their recent league test against Erie (Erie, IL)
With the defeat, Kewanee drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Boilermakers travel to Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL) to meet the Comets in a non-league test on Saturday, October 18. The Comets come into the test with a record of 6-1. Newman Central Catholic won 24-14 in their recent league test against Riverdale (Port Byron, IL)
