The Mabel-Canton Cougars (Mabel, MN) football trounced the visiting Kingsland Knights (Spring Valley, MN), 46-8 in Friday's league outing.

The Cougars now sport a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wabasha-Kellogg for a District 9 South - East (9 Man) outing on Wednesday, October 15. Mabel-Canton will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 30-14 league win over Grand Meadow (Grand Meadow, MN). The Falcons record now stands at 3-5.

With the defeat, Kingsland drops to 5-2 on the campaign. The Knights host Lanesboro (Lanesboro, MN) to face the Burros in a District 9 South - East (9 Man) game on Wednesday, October 15.
