New Mexico High School Football - Laguna Acoma can't hold off McCurdy

McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Laguna Acoma Hawks (New Laguna, NM), 7-6 in a league match.
The Bobcats (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Cuba (Cuba, NM). The Rams come into the 2A District 1 match with a 0-7 record. In their last match, Cuba was nudged by Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM), 32-24, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Hawks confront the Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM) in a 2A District 1 battle, on Friday, October 17. Laguna Acoma will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Skyhawks go into the battle with a 1-6 record after their 55-0 league loss to Hozho Academy (Gallup, NM).
