The Penney Hornets football squad scored 31 points and limited the host Lathrop Mules to 0 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mid-Buchanan for a KCI challenge on Friday, October 17. Penney will face a Dragons team coming off a 56-24 league win over North Platte (Dearborn, MO). The Dragons record now stands at 7-0.

The Mules (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against West Platte (Weston, MO). The Bluejays enter the KCI challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last game, West Platte ran past East Buchanan (Gower, MO), 50-7, in a league game.
