Alabama High School Football - Leroy tops Southern Choctaw

October 10, 2025: Gilbertown, AL 36908

The Leroy Bears football squad scored 28 points and limited the host Southern Choctaw Indians to 12 in the Bears league triumph on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Fruitdale for a 1A Region 1 test on Friday, October 17. Leroy will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 46-8 league loss to Sweet Water (Sweet Water, AL). The Pirates record now stands at 1-7.

With the defeat, Southern Choctaw drops to 6-1 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Millry (Millry, AL) to face the Wildcats in a 1A Region 1 challenge on Friday, October 17. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Millry won 46-6 in their recent league challenge against Shields (Beatrice, AL)
