The William Floyd Colonials felled the host Lindenhurst Bulldogs football team by a score of 27-7 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Colonials face the Ward Melville Patriots (East Setauket, NY) in a Section 11 Division I challenge, on Saturday, October 18. William Floyd will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Patriots come into the test with a 5-0 record after their 56-0 league win over Central Islip (Central Islip, NY).

With the defeat, Lindenhurst drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Bay Shore (Bay Shore, NY) to meet the Marauders in a Section 11 Division I test on Saturday, October 18. The Marauders come into the test with a record of 0-5. Bay Shore lost 44-6 in their recent league challenge against Walt Whitman (Huntington Station, NY)
