    The Rome Wolves walloped the host Lithia Springs Lions football team by a score of 65-0 in Friday's league challenge.

    In their next game, the Wolves play the South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) in a AAAAA Region 5 challenge, on Friday, October 17. Rome will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 3-4 record after their 48-45 league win over Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA).

    The Lions (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Alexander (Douglasville, GA). The Cougars go into the AAAAA Region 5 challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Alexander was ripped by East Paulding (Dallas, GA), 49-20, in a league challenge.
