The Magnolia Heights Chiefs were victorious over the host Starkville Academy Volunteers football team by a score of 42-14 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Chiefs face the Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 24. Magnolia Heights will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record.
With the defeat, Starkville Academy drops to 5-2 on the campaign. The Volunteers host Lamar (Meridian, MS) to clash with the Raiders in a MAIS 4A District 2 test on Friday, October 17. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 6-2. Lamar lost 42-7 in their recent league test against Hartfield Academy (Flowood, MS)
