Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), 27-6 in a league battle.

With the win, Manteo advances its record to 5-1 on the season. The Redskins travel to Gates County (Gatesville, NC) to play the Red Barons in a Albemarle (AAC) 2A battle on Friday, October 17. The Red Barons go into the battle with a record of 2-5. Gates County lost 49-30 in their recent league battle against Holmes (Edenton, NC)

The Pirates now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Camden County for a Albemarle (AAC) 2A battle on Friday, October 17. Perquimans will confront a Bruins squad coming off a 35-22 league win over Bertie (Windsor, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 3-4.
