The New London Wildcats football squad scored 6 points and limited the host Mapleton Mounties to 4 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.
The Wildcats now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host South Central for a Firelands test on Friday, October 17. New London will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 38-0 league loss to St. Paul (Norwalk, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 1-7.
The Mounties (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Paul (Norwalk, OH). The Flyers go into the Firelands challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, St. Paul nipped South Central (Greenwich, OH), 38-0, in a league challenge.
