Maquoketa Valley Wildcats (Delhi, IA) boosters were happy Friday as they witnessed their football squad smash the host North Cedar Knights (Stanwood, IA), 69-0 in a league match.

The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their match against East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA). The Buccaneers enter the A District 4 match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, East Buchanan routed Starmont (Arlington, IA), 46-27, in a non-league battle.

The Knights now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to East Marshall for a A District 4 battle on Friday, October 17. North Cedar will confront a Mustangs squad coming off a 34-7 league loss to Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-3.
