Texas High School Football - Marshall falls to Texas

The Texas Tigers felled the host Marshall Mavericks football team by a score of 14-0 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Mt. Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, TX) in a 5A-2 Region II District 7 challenge, on Friday, October 17. Texas will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 1-5 record after their 7-3 league loss to Marshall (Marshall, TX).

With the defeat, Marshall drops to 4-2 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX) to meet the Fightin' Indians in a 5A-2 Region II District 7 test on Friday, October 17. The Fightin' Indians come into the test with a record of 0-7. Jacksonville lost 52-21 in their recent league test against Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX)
