The Midland Christian Mustangs football squad scored 56 points and limited the visiting Southwest Christian School Eagles to 14 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Fort Worth Christian for a TAPPS Division II District 1 test on Friday, October 17. Midland Christian will face a Cardinals team coming off a 59-14 league win over Trinity Christian (Lubbock, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-0.
The Eagles (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Grapevine Faith Christian (Grapevine, TX). The Lions enter the TAPPS Division II District 1 challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Grapevine Faith Christian was ripped by All Saints (Fort Worth, TX), 49-15, in a league challenge.
