The Wilcox Academy Wildcats were victorious over the host Monroe Academy Volunteers football team by a score of 13-3 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats face the Lowndes Academy Rebels (Lowndesboro, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 16. Wilcox Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Rebels enter the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 51-16 league win over Morgan Academy (Selma, AL).
The Volunteers (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Edgewood Academy (Elmore, AL). The Wildcats enter the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Edgewood Academy lost by Banks Academy (Birmingham, AL), 44-14, in a non-league test.
