In Friday's league game, the Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) football team overcame the visiting Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA), by a tally of 28-7.

In their next game, the Green Waves battle the Honaker Tigers (Honaker, VA) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 17. Narrows will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 2-4 record after their 22-7 league loss to Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA).
