The South Point Red Raiders football squad scored 53 points and limited the host North Gaston Wildcats to 0 in the Red Raiders league triumph on Friday.

The Red Raiders now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Kings Mountain for a Big South 5A/6A test on Friday, October 17. South Point will meet a Mountaineers squad coming off a 43-7 league loss to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 5-2.

With the defeat, North Gaston drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Crest (Shelby, NC) to face the Chargers in a Big South 5A/6A game on Friday, October 17. The Chargers enter the game with a record of 6-1. Crest won 62-7 in their recent league game against Huss (Gastonia, NC)
