North Carolina High School Football - Overhills topped by Pinecrest

October 10, 2025: Southern Pines, NC 28387

In Friday's league match, the host Pinecrest Patriots football squad scored a good 38-29 victory over the Overhills Jaguars.

The Patriots (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans enter the Mid-South 7A/8A match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Pine Forest was beaten by Hoke County (Raeford, NC), 27-8, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Jaguars confront the Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC) in a Mid-South 7A/8A match, on Friday, October 17. Overhills will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Buccaneers enter the match with a 3-4 record after their 49-28 league loss to Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC).
