The Maroons (5-2) will now prepare for their match against North Laurel (London, KY). The Jaguars come into the 5A District 8 match with a 6-1 record. In their last match, North Laurel routed Southwestern (Somerset, KY), 24-14, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Cardinals meet the Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY) in a 5A District 8 challenge, on Friday, October 17. South Laurel will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record. The Warriors go into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 24-14 league loss to North Laurel (London, KY).
