North Carolina High School Football - Red Springs can't get by South Columbus

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC) and the host Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC), witnessed South Columbus's football squad edge Red Springs by a count of 14-13.

The Stallions (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Cougars enter the Southeastern 3A/4A/5A contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, South Brunswick was nudged by Whiteville (Whiteville, NC), 53-7, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Red Devils confront the West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC) in a Southeastern 3A/4A/5A contest, on Friday, October 17. Red Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 2-5 record after their 12-7 league loss to Fairmont (Fairmont, NC).
