Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR), 44-23 in a league battle.

With the win, Sheldon advances its record to 2-4 on the season. The Irish host South Medford (Medford, OR) to confront the Panthers in a 6A Special District 1 match on Friday, October 17. The Panthers come into the match with a record of 2-4. South Medford won 13-7 in their recent league match against Sprague (Salem, OR)

Coming up next, the Saxons confront the West Salem Titans (Salem, OR) in a 6A Special District 1 match, on Friday, October 17. South Salem will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Titans come into the match with a 5-1 record after their 37-24 league win over North Salem (Salem, OR).
