The Tongue River Eagles held off the host Wheatland Bulldogs football squad by a count of 14-7 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles now hold a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Big Horn for a 2A East test on Friday, October 17. Tongue River will meet a Rams squad coming off a 59-0 league win over Glenrock (Glenrock, WY). The Rams record now stands at 6-0.
With the defeat, Wheatland drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Moorcroft (Moorcroft, WY) to face the Wolves in a 2A East challenge on Friday, October 17. The Wolves go into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Moorcroft lost 46-6 in their recent league challenge against Newcastle (Newcastle, WY)
