Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Bernalillo Spartans (Bernalillo, NM) and the visiting Santa Fe Indian Braves (Santa Fe, NM), saw Bernalillo's soccer squad triumph over Santa Fe Indian by a count of 11-1.
The Spartans (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs enter the non-league battle with a 2-12 record. In their last battle, West Mesa was overwhelmed by Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM), 10-0, in a league match.
The Braves now sport a 1-15 record. They take the field next when they host Academy for Technology and The Classics for a A/3A District 2 match on Tuesday, October 14. Santa Fe Indian will meet a team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Santa Fe Prep (Santa Fe, NM). The record now stands at 7-5.
